How insert POIs with Navigon Fresh 3.1.0 released today

Hi all,
today is released a new version (3.1.0) of Navigon Fresh software. A very interesting feauture is now available: it is possible insert custom POIs!

I inserted them dowloading from PoiPlaza! I downloaded files for Navigon. It is need to change extension of asc file in csv, like :

Code:

SupermarcheCasino.asc -> SupermarcheCasino.csv

and if you keep the BMP icon in same folder of this file (and with same name of csv file , like SupermarcheCasino.bmp) , Navigon Fresh will recognise it and use it as default icon on your Navigon.

The only limit is the maximum POI number that will be less than 10.000 POI, splitted in maximum 40 files.

I have this "POI Assistant csv." thingy in the menu, but I can't click it (It's grey, unclickable)

I don't know why your "POI Assistant csv." is unavailable and gray. It it possible that your 1410 doesn't support personal Pois? I suppose that your device is recognised, power on, and it works fine, right?


I try to explain me better but I have only a Navigon 2410 and I don't know if this procedure is the same for other Navivgon models like your 1410.

1) Download poiplaza.com package

In this step you download the ZIP file for Navigon from Poiplaza. I use IZarc for manage ZIP files but you can use other software like Winzip, 7zip, winrar and so on...

Click download button

Take a look of ZIP file content

2) Extract ASC and BMP files into a folder.

Select both files and Extract them

Take a look of saved files

3)Change extension of ASC file to CSV.

[Optional] It is possible that you can't see the extension of your files. For show it you must follow this guide: http://www.fileinfo.com/help/windows-sho...sions.html

Right click on ASC file and choose 'rename' from menu

Take a look of icon.
You can open this file also with Microsoft Excel or with other software like this (but this is not really important for our goal)

4) Open Navigon Fresh 3.1.0 or better and upload Pois on it.

Choose 'Poi Assistant' in your Navigon Fresh 3.1.0. or better

Click 'Copy special destination on device' or somethink like this...

Browse trought folders , select your CSV file, and click 'OK' button

Take a look of your Pois file on your Navigon device.

Do you know how Fresh edits the files so they work with navigon? Could I add POIs manually?
Where do the POI points go (Which folder?)

Can you test it with navigon 1410 as well? I guess not?

I bought POIwarner but I can't insert the code with the device (I can't type in the box I should -.-)

E: Downloading new 3.1.1 hopefully I can add them after I have installed it.

I have a Navigon 2410 and for me too, the POI assistant menu is disabled (greyed out) in Navigon Fresh (v3.1.1). Anyone has an idea to enable it ?
